It would help if the mount was closer to the wheel. Also run a support tube all the way across to the other frame rail. Optimum would be level at mid way through the travel. But that might be an even bigger rock magnet.

The support tube that's there already cracked once and the panhard was level but only about 40" long. The new panhard is maybe 10" longer.

But like I said, the old setup worked fine, handled fine, couldn't feel the push of the panhard at all.

Didn't the local motors rally fighter have that originally? They canned it an went 4 link if I remember right.
We had nothing but problems. No amount of shock tuning.

Fox laughed. It did still work. I think we put close to 100k on the shop car and it was a watts link, drove it from Phoenix to Vegas often. Great on the street. No fun to maintain and worked like shit in the dirt... and that was a tube chassis and intentional watts link. Cant imagine retro fitting a road racing suspension on an offroad truck. Yucky

Any idea on the reasoning for putting the pivot so far above centerline of the axle?

Also, you can see the difference in the chassis from the beginning to when somebody that actually knew off-road started working on it.

Because factory five and tube chassis. Lol. I can't remember exactly , but somewhere between irc and packaging. That's how it worked out. Most of that was modular and bolt on.

In all seriousness, I never actually broke any of the watts link components. The brass bushings maintained themselves a while.
The car was just not tunable. It still saw more desert miles and abuse than most trucks on here tho. Sketch but fun.

4 link got better. Lots of squat. But introduced different issues. I'm sure everyone has seen the San Felipe video.
